With wedding season fast approaching, many brides are asking what to do with all those flowers, flowers used to decorate the church, flowers, rose petals that get scattered on the ground by Cute Little Flower Girls, mini mechanisms used in the home … which is a lot of flowers! Some brides donate their flowers to local hospitals and nursing homes, but most just end up throwing them away.
What a waste.
For those of you who want to do something different, here's a way to turn the flowers into something that will last a life or more!
You will flower petals that can collect, the more fragrant the better. You'll also need a mortar and pestle (or blender think use more), a melting pot, three or four rusty nails, a bulletin board, and a lot of pins.
Gather your flower petals, and begin to grind in a mortar until they have the consistency of wet clay, or run through the blender with a few drops of water to form a fairly smooth paste. Dump mashed flowers in your cast iron pan with rusty nails, and set aside at least 24 hours to allow little water to evaporate.
Mash the Goop bloom, removing nails. Once it reaches the consistency of clay, you can start doing the accounts. If you have not become a paste of clay type, however, it has set aside for another day, Add a little water, and puree again.
To make beads, roll the dough in your hands to form balls. Make the ball twice the size of the accounts you want and use pins to the cap. Hang accounts of your board in a dry place and turn up today, it will take 6-8 days to completely dry cereals.
String your beads as you would any other bead to make necklaces, bracelets, or even a rosary.
Their accounts of flower petals will not be much the first time they are killed, but the more you use, the softer and brighter it becomes. Depending on the type of flowers you use, which vary color from yellow to sandy brown mahogany.
