Cosmos as a veil to hide and manifest God is a concept found in many religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Sufism and philosophical doctrines as pantheism. Focus on how I spoke in Hinduism and Sufism. To begin with Hinduism and Sufi concepts follows.
Maya is the phenomenal world separate objects and people, creating the illusion of some is the only reality. Maya is limited, purely physical reality and mind in which our everyday consciousness has become entangled. Maya is believed to be an illusion, a veil of true unit – the Cosmic Spirit.
Many philosophies or religions seek to "pierce the veil" in order to glimpse the transcendent truth the illusion of physical reality springs. It has two main functions – one for Brahman cover and hide from our minds. The other is to present the material world instead of Brahman (the concept of the supreme spirit found in Hinduism). It is destructible.
Maya illusion of multiple causes ways. Under the influence of Maya the individual loses his intelligence and discretion. He forgets his true nature. You lose contact with the car and believes it is the ego with a body and a name. In this deception is that the manufacturer assumes that his actions while in truth is only a tool God, which is the real decision maker. He develops an attachment to objects in the world and wants to possess. It seeks to target poor in the world, having lost its connection with Real and forgot the true purpose of their existence.
Maya is not real because it is lost in the dawn of knowledge the Supreme Being.

For Sufis, the cosmos is a veil, an allusion referred to verse in the Koran;
"We will show our symbols about the universe and in themselves until they are convinced that truth "
The universe has two aspects to the Sufis, the first states that the universe is not God. The world is relative and transient, if the change is otherness, separation, a veil that separates us from God. In another aspect of the universe is none other than God, because that is the universe, revealing the divine will. Therefore, the cosmos, both hidden and revealed, veils and reveals. For Sufis, the world is transparent, because the Sufi believes that the transcendent sense of physical things.
The way the universe manifests God's universe and how costumes of God. Events can be "signs" or "veil", showing God to us, or we hide from God, God's nearness and distance from God – Immanence and transcendence – are true. The difference is that the face of reality that we choose to watch.
"And to the east and west is to Allah, then whichever way your face is not the face of God. Allah is immense and knoweth all things. "
